With "e-mobility", Daimler AG and RWE AG launched the world's largest joint project for climate-friendly electric cars in Berlin. Daimler provides more than 100 electric cars and ensures the service of the vehicles. RWE assumes the development, construction and operation of the charging infrastructure with around 500 charging points, the power supply and the central system control.
The payment traffic is made possible by the exchange of data between a special communication system in the vehicle and the intelligent charging station. The unique interdisciplinary cooperation brings together the specific know-how of two key industries. Due to its importance for the sustainable mobility of the future, this project is supported by the Federal Government.
